AAMOM Programs
An education is considered the bedrock of every surviving society and a medium through which the mind is liberated.
However, deep within our democratic heritage of the Liberia society, is embedded our commitment to education. In order to make education the most effective instrument that will reflect the aspirations and hopes of our children, in attaining self reliance which can help in reforming the lives of succeeding generation, the Alfred & Agnes Memorial Orphanage Mission was granted permission to conduct academic and vocational training for the less-fortunate children, and other communities dwellers.
Currently the school is located in a mini (6) classroom building, where students are very congested in a building that suffers severe leakages and damages caused by bullet shots.
However, considering the difficulties associated with the overcrowding of classes, we have drafted a plan to erect a 12-classroom building comprising of laboratory, library, offices, and etc.
We are of the strongest conviction that, if this project is implemented it can serve as a source of inspiration and guidance for our society during these challenging days as we endeavor to improve education in our country. And encourage hundreds of students who have been denied the opportunity of quality education, to take a positive decision to enroll at this institution. This project will also have an adult illiteracy component for most of our people, who departed academics for ten or more years. If attention is not given to literacy, girls will be even further marginalized, continuing education indicates the desire to “catch up" on missed opportunities. The current shift in the work force today, with its demands for participation, depends on the level of education and experience one has acquired it is necessary to have this attached to our activities.
Agriculture
The Agricultural Program of the Alfred and Agnes Memorial
Orphanage
Liberia, a country being ravaged by almost a decade of civil strife thus leaving the economy wrecked, a situation which has created economic hardship and suffering for a majority of Liberians, especially vulnerable groups for which orphans are no exception.
The promotion of agriculture with reference to the production of food for local consumption has an important African dimension: “He who fills your belly shall have your ears”
At the Alfred & Agnes Memorial Orphanage Mission,
this agriculturally oriented organization strongly believes that
economic empowerment for future sustainability can only be attained
through the implementation of agricultural projects. This Endeavour
can alleviate human suffering and improve the livelihood of our
people.
In recent years the development of Agriculture has resulted in a very substantial increase in the production of food referred to as the “green revolution”.
Vocational training
The development of a vocational training program
will allow them to have a real integration within the work force in the future.
The rationale for this training is to collectively build the capacity of young
people with the view of making them useful and productive in order to improve
their income generating capacity.
However, considering that this nation and its people have suffered in different ways during the devastating strife, and continue to suffer the effect of poverty and other forms of hardship today there is an urgent need to embark on several vocational training.
Conducting and implementing such training with a view of developing skills will be a main vehicle to transform these youth so as to stimulate the economy and to enhance growth and social development.
Components of the proposed vocational training named and styled Alfred & Agnes Vocational training program. (AAVTC)

Clinic – since the war there has been a growing demand for adequate medical facilities to curb the prevalence of diseases, which are affecting the lives of our people. Presently this institution seeks medical attention from clinics far from the center. We usually travel one hour walk to seek treatment, we have also sketched a plan for the construction of a clinic to aid us in reducing the cost associated with medical bills and be able to provide the basic medical attention for other community dwellers.
